I build industrial infrastructure for a living. A colleague of mine recommended Ignacio and MBAC for our residential work.

Ignacio brought the same attention to detail, competence and creativity that I would expect on an industrial job. We asked his team to do something completely custom — a “Roman Spa” tub, with additional complexities in plumbing, demolition and fire codes.

All of the above took place in a 100 year-old concrete warehouse built to Commercial code.

My wife and I compliment MBAC. But I especially respect that the multiple Oakland City Inspectors that came through also complimented the team as well.

Ignacio and his team worked extremely hard to renovate our 1950s bathroom. They paid attention to details and made it look absolutely beautiful. They also listened well when we addressed any issues. I would highly recommend Ignacio for excellent service and qualified construction work.

Martin’s team did a great job! Ignacio Martin built a retaining wall and a French drain for our front yard in El Cerrito. He is competent, licensed and gave us a competitive price. No hidden costs. His team was on time, did a solidly good job (many compliments from our neighbors for the retaining wall); they were very efficient and did the job on time. We are very pleased at how the wall looks! Gorgeous California native annual flowers are now hanging down the wall! Thank you, Ignacio and team!

The company repaired two decorative overhanging roofs. The shingles were replaced and the roof was painted. The work was timely and the workers were professional on our home in San Leandro, CA.

Ignacio and his crew are competent, skilled and trustworthy. Everyone we worked with during our project was prompt, kind, and aimed to please. Our house project included a total repair of front concrete stairs and street facing wall with window, a new interior bathroom, and a basement remodel. We are very happy with how the project turned out! We collaborated on all of the details and Ignacio was very accommodating throughout. His prices were very reasonable even for changes. These guys are heroes

I never thought I would love the sound of power drills in the morning until Ignacio Martin brought his crew to save our 100 year old house in Berkeley. We hired these guys for a major renovation and I cannot recommend them enough. They are highly skilled, hard working, detail oriented, and reasonably priced. They follow the architect plans down to the letter and if I want something a little different they work with me to try and create what I’m after. I can see Ignacio’s 25 years of construction experience every time we discuss how to approach various aspects of the project. The foreman Vito knows exactly what he’s doing and is a strong team leader.

I love the fact all of them are indigenous Mayans from a single town in the Guatemalan highlands. They came to this country through much hardship fleeing a vicious civil war and are building a great family business and realizing the American dream.

We are homeowners and this job was incredibly important to us. Every time I see all the good and honest work these guys are doing to restore our home I almost want to cry. MBAC are my heroes.

Martin made a reasonable bid on our home construction project (adding/removing some walls, etc) and was available to start within our time frame (ASAP).

The job went fairly smoothly and Martin was very helpful throughout, with quite a few last-minute decisions and requests on our part. The final finishing work was good except for some fine details that were overlooked.

Overall, an efficient crew at a reasonable price. We’re happy with the final results and would hire Martin again.

I had my entire floor retired. They did a great job. They charged me a very fair price. There was a small communication problem because some of the workers did not speak English. Other than that they did a good job at a reasonable cost..

We hired these guys for a major renovation and I cannot recommend them enough. They are highly skilled, reasonably priced, very hard-working, and detail-oriented. Ignacio Martin has 25 years of construction experience and it shows. It’s a large family business with in-house plumbing and electrical expertise so they didn’t have to sub-contract anything but the cabinets. Observing their work every day I can see how good and honest the quality of it is. I seriously wish I had a million dollars so I could hire MBAC to help me forever.
